Forgiveness

I have read my blogs again to see God working in my life. While at Crichton surrounded by all my Christian friends I was truly happy. Then Salem died and I got married. I shut myself off, and Nathan was not the cause. I am sorry for this. I feel like I have had a great renewing of my spirit in the past week.

So much has happened. I just finished the second book in the Mark of Lion series, and it is also fantastic. My mom will start reading them soon and if you guys can pray for her salvation I would really appreciate it. She is everything to me.

I also took a spritual gift test again (my third, the other two were taken in high school and college). I felt God kept putting in circumstances where we were asked to take it. My top 3 included shepherding, exhortation and....PROPHECY! Prophecy is being screamed at you because it is actually my gift. I got full marks in it and the other two are just side notes. After going through my blog I realized how much of my life has been centered around this gift. Jon told me I had it about a year ago, but I just didn't know the technical term. I am not sure what all of it means. I have done some research on my own, but don't worry my Sunday School teacher is helping me out. (He works at the Baptist Student Union at Memphis, awesome job if you ask me)

I was talking to God this morning about how I would rather be like Sammie and Hadassah and just love people. I have rebuked people my whole life but when I am told I can now use it as a gift, as opposed to my own selfish gain, I am scared.

Also I miss Katie, Jon and Aubrey. Love you guys!

My Dad is also unsaved. Other than trying to be an example, I've been trying to get him to read Ted Dekker books.

I think that's a good idea! I love his books. My Dad, although he is a Christian, really enjoys the apocalyptic stuff. I think it's a man thing. Also, try the Boneman's Daughter by Dekker.

Something bad has happened. I was angry. Still am sort of. It is more like I have spurts of sadness and then anger. Didn't know that when this happened it would hurt this bad. My Salem

In response to my last post a dear friend (who I have failed to talk to in awhile), said my true greatness is hidden from view. As sweet as that was, maybe he sees something I do not. When I began this summer I thought my life was going great (That should have been my first clue that things were going wrong. Our lives are not meant to be great). I had gotten a promotion from work, and I thought I was trusting God. I felt Him helping me deal with the moral issues I was having at work. Everything was going well. Within the last semester I noticed that when I was away from Salem (my beloved cat and first child), I missed him dearly almost to the point of desperation. I would need to rush home and see him every time I was away for an extended period of time. At this point I could not even fathom him leaving me without bursting into tears.
